There are certain experiences in life that teach us lessons that are good, bad, influential and sometimes a little bit heartbreaking. Either way we tend to experience everything and feel every emotion through every bone of our body. But in the end it is all about the lesson we have learned and what we have gained. My Amal journey was full of bitter and sweet moments one day was extremely joyous while other days I used to think when is it going to end, which was mainly due to the hectic project work we used to get. But the point is that in these dark and light days I managed to learn more than I can imagine and I can surely say that at the end of this course I am a completely changed person.

Through my journey, every class, every interaction with my classmates, all the breakout rooms, all the ice breaking activities, lots of teamwork those mock interviews and the fund raising all played an exceptional role in my character development they brought out a new person inside of me that I didn’t know I had in the first place.

Out of all of my interactions the most influential was the first case study. I acted for the first time in front of an audience in which i played the role of a pure feminist according to the case study. My teammates Bushra and Ashar were extremely supportive. The synchronization, the motivation and support we were giving each other was the most amazing thing I experienced in this course. And after the play my team mate Ashar praised me a lot of my acting and motivated me to continue my dedication throughout the course. His words really helped me in amplifying my confidence and all the other classmates really helped me ramping up my confidence.

This journey was all about being positive and accepting our flaws as they are. Building a positive attitude was one of my biggest obstacles in achieving my day to day goals and because of Amal academy i learned to stay positive and motivated to achieve all my goals day by day. Another thing that had a huge impact on me was the video that was shared in the course which was about intrinsic happiness that shows happiness doesn’t come from material things, but it is the small things that make us happy and true happiness always originates within the person. The video was about how a physically enabled boy finds his happiness through the dog that was just like him and how all the video games he was playing didn’t help him in finding happiness, but as soon as he saw the dog being positive and not giving up on him he realized that his true happiness is in being positive and not giving up. This video really gave me an epiphany and I realized how easily we give up on things as soon as we don’t see the results and how happiness is truly found in the little things.
